Scott Bristol specializes in the operational and income tax aspects of accounting, tax planning and consulting, family business, estate planning, business cash flow and strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations. Scott has served clients in the fields of agriculture, distribution, wholesale, retail, medical, law, construction and manufacturing since 1976.

Scott was raised in the San Joaquin Valley, attended California State University, Fresno, and received his B.S. degree in Accounting in January 1974. He has been a partner at Stoughton Davidson since 1980.

Active in the community, Scott was a board member and past president of Fresno Storyland, was a board member of the Fresno Metropolitan Museum and the Fresno Art Museum, is the Treasurer of Fig Garden Rotary, and is active in support of St. Anthony’s School, San Joaquin Memorial High School, and the Fresno Zoological Society. He is currently a board member of the Business Associates at the Craig School of Business. He is also involved with several CSUF academic, athletic and alumni groups. Scott is a member of the California Society of CPA’s, the AICPA, and has served as a Society seminar panelist and local speaker.

Scott has given numerous seminars and presentations to banks, law firms, insurance companies and other organizations over the past 30 years on tax and accounting issues. These include tax strategies and planning, financial statement presentation and analysis, budgeting and income enhancement, cash flow analysis, strategic planning and management and succession planning.
