Form 8812, Additional Child Tax Credit

You must complete and file Schedule 8812 (formerly Form 8812, Additional Child Tax Credit) to document that a child that you entered an ITIN for on Form 1040 is a resident of the United States and/or if your tax bill is too low to allow you to claim all of your child credit.
