Personal Property Coverage

Personal property of all sorts can be insured on an all-risk basis using "riders" and "floaters."

Coverage usually extends to personal property of family members residing in the same household. Coverage is divided between blanket (unscheduled) property and scheduled property sections.

Inland marine personal property floaters can be used to insure, on an unscheduled all-risk basis, 13 classes of residential personal property including:

An inland marine policy is designed to cover movable property wherever it may be located. It may be written on an all-risk, open-perils or named-perils form. These floaters can cover such diverse items as bicycles, cameras, fine art, furs, jewelry, livestock, and equipment of all sorts.
